I never really liked the idea of having a body piercing ever since. But after I have seen some sexy models who have belly piercing, that’s the time I thought that piercing-especially belly piercing is not that bad after all.
So third year college, I was planning to have may belly pierced but for some reason, I’m afraid to do it ‘cause I heard it’s painful, and I also tried watching videos on youtube so that I may have an idea on how they do it, but it just made me more afraid.
After college, I decided that I must have my belly pierce. I am earning my own money already and I lost weight, so I have no reason not to do it. I told my brother about my plan and he tried to convince me to think about it for a month, and if I decide to still have my belly pierced, he’ll be paying for the earrings and all. But I want it ASAP, so we went to Tribal Ink and got my belly pierced! It was my first time to go to shops like that, I freaked out a bit ‘cause the sales lady that I spoke with told me that she got her belly pierced five times because it closes every time she removes the earring. Imagine that, five times!
So I went inside the piercing room, and I was asked to choose the earring that I want. Of course, I chose the pink stud earring. So there it goes! The man prepared the equipments: alcohol, clamp, earring, and the NEEDLE. I was standing during the piercing process, not unlike the one I saw on youtube, they were lying down. When my navel was clamped, it wasn’t that painful. You’ll feel the pain when the needle was inserted through your skin without any anesthesia. When the earring was placed and you look at yourself on the mirror, it was all worth it! You’ll feel a burning sensation for a couple of hours, then after that it’s as if nothing happened( not unless it got hit).
For the pierce to heal easily, you just need to clean it everyday with salt and water solution. And it should dry up for 2-3months.
